March - is it March???  No... now it's almost April.  In fact, I was so slow making this March tag that it is already April Fools Day overseas!!!!  April - dear me.... how can that be??? FAST - we are moving so fast!!

I enjoyed making this tag following the instructions.  It's far from perfect but I learned a lot along the way.  It's not ornate and fun as Tim's March tag either.  Somehow I am rather enjoying it's simplicity though.

My best girl friend loves butterflies, loves to play with numbers, loves anything girlie like flowers and sparkles and enjoys these colors.  Dare I say... this tag makes me think of her.  :)

I'm soooo excited that I now have three tags under my belt. Only nine more to go. Definitely looking forward to the challenges.
Thanks bunches Tim - not that you would read this - if you did I would be giddy!!!  Any way - love all the wonderful tutorials and time you spend with artistic creation. joi

Sunshine Souls and Daydream Acres

This is a land of fantasy and freedom.

A community of loyal friends and ultimate fun.

A friend could be any one - from robot to rebel.

Everyone and everything is welcome.

Everyone and everything is always safe and happy.

The sun shines love into hearts and dreams come true.

Walk among the village, the lanes, the parks.

Relax to the floating mystical waves of musical pleasure.

Stroll thru buildings filled with whatever your mind wants to see:
a museum, a library, a church, a theater, a dining feast.

The Chaumont Barn contains any critter the way you imagine it.

See nature in it's most glorious array your eyes could behold.

Acres of daydreams will heap sunshine on your soul.

Life is contentment. Contentment is joy.

Sunshine is in your soul today!

Are you ready to go visit?  I know I am!!!

See ya there... joi

This 2' x2' acrylic on canvas painting was created with the
Scrap Around the World Mood Board in my mind.

Here is Scrap Around The World March Mood Board.

The horse was my inspiration because I had never drawn
or painted a horse before.  Since there was also a robot and
a futuristic theme... it encouraged me to TRY the horse. Why?
Because I knew that it could look very strange and that would be
ok in a futuristic world!!!  That gave me the courage to proceed :)

The colors interested me - so basic and as the mood board
designer Terhi stated - minimalist - gray, white, yellow, blue.
The twine reminded me of rope and with horses there is rope!

I used lots of paper, die cuts, stamps, stickers, rub-ons, distress
and acrylic paints, embossing powder, metal tacks, and twine!

The horse was hand drawn and painted... humble as it may be!

HOPPY SPRING! Easter 2015

It has finally arrived - well, at least officially.  Donno about weather wise!!!

This little bunny is having a fantastic time playing in the dandelion patch!  Here at the ranch we have lots and lots and lots of bunnies and bunny babies too this spring.  I remember the first time I ever mowed the hay meadow - (smiling thinking about it) - there were bunnies hopping all over the place. Guess the long hay made great homes!  Luckily the tractor was so slow that there was plenty of time for escape :)

Following the color palette for the Lindy's Stamp Gang March Mood Board, the 2' by 2' painting on canvas is a gentle mix of these lovely pastel colors.

The painting was done almost completely with Lindy's Stamp Gang products with the exception of white and black acrylic paint.  The inside of the ears and the top of the nose are embossed with Angel Wing Gold powder over a Kaiser Triangles Stamp!  The whiskers are very thin pieces of metal from the barn and there is just a bit of Diamond glitter Stickles to hold them in place!

The bunny was hand drawn - by me!
